Original Spanish Eclectic time capsule built by Hutsell in 1932 on a rare double lot on Lakewood Blvd. & offered for the first time in 48 years since the 3rd owners purchased in 1975. Artesian touches of the era include an amazing Batchelder tile fireplace, Potter Ironworks staircase & gates, whimsical light fixtures, quarter-sawn narrow gauge hwds, plaster walls, coved ceilings, vibrant stained-glass windows, colorful “pillow-tile” at the front entry & baths, fresco landscape murals from White Rock Lake and a rare prohibition hidden bar. Hutsell designed & built approximately 50 homes in Lakewood from 1926 to 1941, and designed fanciful residences, most of them in a highly-personalize Spanish Eclectic style. This incredible example of Hutsell's work can be restored, brought back to life and expanded to create one of Lakewood's premier estates! Check out Candy's Dirt for an amazing editorial for this property. Open House Sunday, August 13th, from 1-5pm.
