Featured on the Grapevine Candlelight Tour of Homes, we are delighted to present the Cannon House, c. 1920. The Cannon house was home to the W.F. Cannon Family who moved into the home in 1940. Mr. Cannon was named the Superintendent of the Grapevine Public Schools in 1938. The beloved leader was known for doing all the jobs in the school system; he served as football coach, bus driver, janitor & maintenance man. Cannon Elementary is named in his honor. The house remained empty for many years until the new owner purchased it in 2014. The house interior is in near original condition however the owner has worked with his father to carefully restore many of the original features. -Written by Grapevine Heritage Foundation.
